Message par Ben Wawe le Ven 11 Nov 2005, 14:48

Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones a ete choisi pour jouer Blade dans le pilote de New Line Television pour Spike TV.

    Article du Continuum:
    --------------------------------------
Production is expected to begin Monday in Vancouver on Blade, the live-action pilot movie for Spike TV from New Line Television.

Kirk "Sticky" Jones, recently of FX's Over There, has signed to star as Blade. David Goyer, who wrote all three Blade movies and directed Blade: Trinity, will serve as executive producer and co-wrote the film with Geoff Johns.

Peter O'Fallon, whose credits include Suicide Kings, Eureka and American Gothic, is set to direct.

The cast also includes Jill Wagner, Neil Jackson, Nelson Lee and Jessica Gower.

"Blade, as envisioned by David Goyer, is perfectly suited for Spike TV and its male viewers," said Pancho Mansfield, Executive Vice President, Original Programming at Spike TV. "Consistent with Goyer's feature film work, the new Blade promises to capture what men want to see: thrilling action and effects combined with an intelligent and highly creative story."

Jones first became widely known as "Sticky Fingaz," the front man for the hip-hop group Onyx. He later appeared in several feature films, including Clockers, Dead Presidents and Flight of the Phoenix. Most recently, Jones appeared regularly on FX's Over There and The Shield.

Here's how Spike TV describes the film:

"Spike TV's Blade focuses on Marvel's eponymous immortal warrior fighting a shadowy underworld of vampires who want to destroy the human race. The title character is a half-man, half-vampire who uses his incredible powers and skills to fearlessly battle the demonic creatures of the night in a blood-drenched crusade to prevent the ascendance of vampires over mankind."

Marvel's Avi Arad and Ari Arad will serve as executive producers. Blade is targeted for a June broadcast.
